This is a grass roots effort to reach out to Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly. Where are you, Joss? Do you not know that crochet artists and mighty geek crafters the world over would love a virtual meeting of minds with you? But don't take this bloggist's humble word for it! Check this out!
Joss, you may have made a portentious reference, but crochet is not a 'fly-by-night' endeavor! Ha ha! NO! Crochet is about passion, creativity; it's cutting-edge, and it's all up in what you've been about.
Talk with us, Mr. Whedon. Let us touch the hem of your garment. Better yet...
...permit us to crochet the hem of your garment.
Rock on.
